ESPN’s East Coast bias moving further east?

After watching the Reds-Diamondbacks game on Fox Sports Ohio tonight, I switched over to Baseball Tonight on ESPN.  Leading into the highlights was a shot of what looked like a Reds cap and a Diamondbacks cap.

On closer inspection, that wasn’t a Reds cap.  It was Hiroshima Toyo Carp cap.  You can see the word “Carp” on the front of the hat, and the “C” logo doesn’t have the black undershadow that the Reds caps have.

So what’s the deal?  ESPN has a Japanese team’s cap laying around the office, but not a Reds cap?  Or did they just think nobody would notice?

I gotta say, I can’t explain it. Nice spot though. Lemme know if you ever find out what was happening. Ashhttp://ashleymarshall.mlblogs.com
